What is the process for reserving a kitten?

Discount for Cash at pickup

While all kittens require a $300 deposit to be held, a discount of $200 is given if the remaining balance is paid in cash at pickup. A handwritten receipt and a confirmation of payment email will be given as proof of payment. Discount is ONLY given to those who pay the full remaining balance in cash. Discount can not be used towards deposit.

CHOOSE A KITTEN AND CONTACT US

On the "See Kittens" page of our website, check out all of the kittens. Kittens that are NOT available are marked as "Reserved". These kittens already have forever homes reserved. If you are interested in a specific kitten, contact Mallory via e-mail or text. A phone call can be arranged via text or email. I am a full-time college student and can't always answer the phone right away. I will do my best to contact people back in the order that they contact me. Contact information can be found here.

*Please be aware that as of March 5, 2023, we have had many, many inquiries*
To make the process deposit process most efficient, the kittens will be available to whomever decides to put a deposit down first, so long as the home is deemed worthy. This means that I will not hold kittens for in-person meetings without a deposit. If you wish to put a deposit on a kitten, you are welcome to do so through PayPal, CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle. A visit with your kitten can be arranged after the deposit is made. If a kitten does not have a deposit on it, a visit can be arranged without one, but be aware that if someone else wants to make a deposit on the kitten, they will be able to do so up until the day of your scheduled visit. Only making a deposit on a kitten can hold it for you.
If you make a deposit without meeting the kitten and decide on your first visit to change your mind, I will return your deposit. This meeting must occur (in-person or via video chat) within 7 days of making the deposit. After a week, the deposit is non-refundable.

MAKE A DEPOSIT

After contacting Mallory and both parties agree to the kitten's rehoming terms, a deposit can be made through PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, or Zelle. A deposit of $300 is required to hold a kitten under the age of 10 weeks. This deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable. A deposit can not be held for a future litter, only a kitten that is currently available. Only serious buyers should put a deposit on a kitten.
Deposits can be made through links on the deposits page. Contact with Mallory must be made and confirmed before making a deposit on a kitten. If a deposit is made without prior arrangements, it will be immediately returned.

SCHEDULE PICKUP AND FIRST VET VISIT

Once the deposit has been made, there is one more important step. In order for the health guarantee to be valid, the kitten must visit a vet within 96 hours of being picked up from Mallory. This ensures that the kitten was healthy at the time of purchase. Read the details of the health guarantee here. As soon as a pickup date is established, the kitten's first vet visit should be scheduled by the new owner. Kittens will be available for pickup at 10 weeks of age. For their own health, they are not allowed to leave earlier. Pickup dates and locations are decided between buyer and breeder on an individual basis. I will drive up to 1.5 hours (one-way) from my home to deliver kittens at no additional charge. Any pickup related travel beyond that will be determined on an individual basis. In order for me to deliver a kitten, a deposit may be required even if the kitten is 10 weeks or older.

Remaining payment is due at time of pickup. Payment can be made via cash or any of the methods listed under deposits. If a third-party payment app is used, the buyer is responsible for any fees occuring from the transaction.

YOUR KITTEN WILL NEED TO BE STERILIZED TO OBTAIN TICA PAPERS

Please keep in mind that your new Ragdoll baby will not be fixed when it comes home at 10 weeks. I have yet to find a vet in my area that will perform sterilization before the age of 16 weeks and some vets recommend against early spay/neuter to ensure the kitten's reproductive system heals and develops properly. Kittens must be spayed or neutered at or around 16 weeks old to receive their TICA paperwork. I will email or mail the TICA paperwork to the new owner upon receiving confirmation that the kitten has been sterilized.
This reduces the risk of unauthorized breeding. All kittens should be sterilized even if you don't have cats of opposite gender in the home. Cats in heat or searching for a mate can be very loud, incessant, and stressful. It is also stressful to the cat to have such a strong unfulfilled urge. To avoid this issue, the kitten should be spayed or neutered which usually costs $100-250 depending on your location. If proof of unauthorized breeding is discovered, legal action can and will be taken.

PREPARE YOUR HOME AND FAMILY

Once the deposit is made and the vet visit is scheduled, you can relax. The mother cat and I will take care of the kittens until they are ready for pickup. They will come home with a 6 pound bag of their current food, Purina Kitten Chow Naturals. Please note that there is a "Nurture" brand of this food as well. That is not the correct food. Ensure you are purchasing the "Naturals" recipe instead.
Your ragdoll kitten will also come home with everything to start their new life. Owner will receive a bag of the kittens current litter, a basic plastic litterbox, litter scoop, metal food and water dishes, scratching post, brush, and toys. Your kitten will come home in their very own carrier that is theirs to keep. It should last them quite a while.
